In his letter, Vaze has additionally claimed that NCP supremo Sharad Pawar did not need him in the police division once more.

However, his letter has not been accepted by the court as of now because it has requested Vaze to put it by way of the right discussion board.

Earlier, it was former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh who levelled Rs 100 crore extortion expenses in opposition to Anil Deshmukh.

Param Bir Singh in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister earlier had mentioned that Deshmukh had requested him to gather Rs 100 crore from pubs, eating places, different institutions in Mumbai each month.

On Tuesday, Bombay High Court ordered a CBI inquiry into the allegations following which Anil Deshmukh resigned as Maharashtra Home Minister on ethical grounds. However, thus far, Deshmukh has denied all of the allegations levelled in opposition to him.
